Project description/aim:
There’s no denying that the digital age has arrived and is here to stay for good. So why not take the arts into the digital world? That is precisely what Tan Haur, an artist and curator, hopes to do with this project titled: Digital Art for Everybody. Global Digital-art market for our local talents.
This project will help train up a group of junior digital artists as well as tap into the existing pool of digital artists already present in Singapore, to showcase their works overseas. About 600 selected participants will undergo a mentorship programme to learn digital art technology, creative concepts, IP management, exhibition curation and etc, through attending workshops and focus-group discussions.

Benefits/impact:
Project participants would be selected to create works for a local traveling exhibition, as well as for exhibition and sales at overseas art galleries and museums through linking up with partners and sponsors. Concurrently, the works would also be repurposed into merchandises and products that would be sold internationally. Looking ahead, the project plans to build up a Singapore digital artists' database and art fairs' contacts, firm up the foundation of the business after gaining exposure and experiences from the first international exhibition, as well as open up new creative product lines.
