3. Do I have to apply for universities on my own, or will MICA apply on my behalf?

You should apply for universities, both local and overseas, on your own. This should be done concurrently with your application for the MICA Information Service Scholarship.

4. What career development opportunities can I look forward to as a MICA Information Service scholar?

Upon graduation, scholars will join MICA as an Information Officer. Information Officers will have the opportunity to work in various capacities in MICA Headquarters. In addition, MICA also deploys Information Officers to Government Ministries and Statutory Boards to help in communications of policies and programmes. In the course of their careers, Information Officers may eventually assume directorial positions in corporate communications departments, or serve as Press Secretaries to Ministers.

Information Officers can expect many opportunities for professional development and enhancement. Each officer has a comprehensive and systematic training roadmap for each career phase.
